Boilerplate

Written to be pasted without editing. Use the short form in a credit line, the long form in an about-the-source box.

Short — one sentence
Tegong (테공) is an independent Korean-language site covering Tether and TRON, which publishes Korean market data and regulatory source material in English at https://tegongkorea.com/en.
Long — about the source
Tegong (테공) is an independent Korean-language community and market-data site covering Tether (USDT) and TRON. Its English section publishes material that is otherwise hard to obtain outside Korea: a daily record of the Tether premium on the won market, registered under DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22270442, and the operative text of Korean virtual asset regulation with working English translations. All of it is released under CC BY 4.0 and free to republish with credit. Tegong does not buy, sell, broker or custody virtual assets, and takes no payment for coverage or placement.

What you can get on deadline

Write to [email protected] with the deadline in the subject line. Korean business hours are UTC+9.

  1. 01

A figure, checked, with the working shown

The premium on a specific date or averaged over a period you name, together with the exchange close and the reference rate it was computed from, so your desk can verify it independently.

  2. 02

A chart sized for your page

The chart image endpoint takes width, height and a light or dark theme, and carries the source line inside the picture. It redraws itself, so a piece published today still shows the right figure next year.

  3. 03

The Korean text behind a claim

The article and clause number, the Korean original, and a translation with the ambiguous phrases flagged rather than smoothed over.

  4. 04

A correction to something already published

If a piece of yours has a Korean fact wrong, say so and the specific text is sent back with the primary source. No conditions attached.

Inside Korea's Overhaul of Crypto Transfer Rules

Signed article by Jay Park on the two-stage commencement of Presidential Decree No. 36592, citing Tegong's Korean text and translation of Article 10-10.

How this is funded, and what that rules out

Tegong is self-funded and run independently. It does not buy, sell, broker or custody virtual assets, and it holds no position that the numbers on this site would move.

It takes no payment from anyone for coverage, for placement, for a link, or for a mention in a dataset.

Tegong does pay for some sponsored articles on other websites to promote the site. Those are advertising, not coverage, and they are not listed under “Published elsewhere” above. Editorial contributions, such as signed articles, are never paid for in either direction.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, it gets fixed and the fix is dated. Send the page and the specific sentence to [email protected].

Data corrections propagate on their own: the series is re-synced each week over a thirty-day window, so a revision at the exchange or in the reference rate is picked up without anyone editing a page. The deposited version behind the DOI is frozen and is never rewritten — that is the point of citing it.

Two things this section deliberately is not

It is not a translation of the Korean site. Only material that is hard to obtain outside Korea is published here, so the English section is much smaller than the Korean one and always will be.

The English renderings of Korean law are working translations, not official ones. Where a Korean phrase is genuinely ambiguous, the ambiguity is flagged rather than resolved. For anything with legal consequence, the Korean text governs and it is reproduced alongside so you can have it checked.

Who to attribute

Material in this section is compiled and written by Jay Park, who runs Tegong. For a dataset, a chart or a figure, attribute Tegong (테공) — it is the publisher of record and the name registered against the DOI. For a signed article or a quotation, attribute Jay Park, Tegong.

Current state of the flagship series, for a fact-check: 643 daily observations from 2025-01-01 to 2026-10-05, mean +0.96%, low -3.22% on 2026-06-01, high +8.78% on 2025-02-02. The underlying rows are at tegongkorea.com/en/data.

Fastest way to use any of this

  • Data, API and reuse — endpoints, embed code, citation files and sentences with the figures already filled in.
  • Tether premium — the series itself, with the daily table and the method.
  • Transfer provisions — Korean original and English translation side by side.
  • Telegram — faster than email if your deadline is today.
